Stopped in for breakfast and this place more than met my expectations. The service was friendly to the point you think our waitress had known us for years instead of meeting us for the first time. Lovely decor, comfortable seating, a little chilly, but great atmosphere. And bottomless coffee. I ordered the Athenian scramble which included hash browns on the bottom of a skillet followed by a layer of onions, green peppers, tomatoes, gyro meat and feta cheese, all topped with two scrambled eggs. It came with a side of tzatziki sauce which kicked up the flavor. I pretty much housed the delicious creation. Definitely recommend.

Would rate 0. Got coffee. It was poured in a mug used as an ashtray. The waitress even said so from just smelling it from my first sip. Got hash browns. So freezer burnt I got nauseous I couldn't eat and almost puked. It is my 4th time there. And every time the food was so bad I couldn't eat it. Iv had meat iny freezer over 2 years that didn't taste as freezer burnt. Health inspectors should check it out. Not good not safe. Services are friendly. This is all at the new location at the blue top

Have eaten in the old location (hwy 10) 2x within the past year. Both times the food rated somewhere between hospital cafeteria cuisine and just pretty bad. I ordered a gyro on my second visit, after learning the owners were greek and saw a menu section specifically devoted to their native cuisine. Terrible. The very large and VERY stale, salt encrusted pita contained exactly 4 pieces of what i honestly thought was bratwurst sliced lengtwise...the taste convinced me it wasnt bratwurst, but also didnt convince me it was actually meat either. The service was slow, waitress and hostess both approaching outright hostile (no one had complained nor did we for that reason). They since moved into the Blue Top/Rookies Location (nowhere near Park Ridge might I add) and having eaten there perhaps three times in the last 2 years, under the old flag, I found it mediocre. Our servers both times were cheerful, relaxed, and attentive. Nothing stood out as great, though nothing was terrible, just bland..Visited again, very recently, expecting the same though not offensive, mediocrity. I can honestly say the worst meal I have ever been served... period. The "Broasted Chicken' had to have been freezer burned at least once, and broasted and/ or maybe parboiled twice, after it's original preparation. The dark and white meat was the same texture of.. I don't know how to describe it. Okay, think Spam X Drywall mud. The stuffing (not listed in the menu's description), was a black, sopping wet, glue like mass, I discovered hiding under the halved chicken carcass. I learned next, it had the very same taste and very similar texture, of the supposed mashed potatoes. These being salt and something rendered. Unfortunately, I took a much bigger bite of those. Everything covered by two cups of a yellow jelly textured cornstarch substance...Oh, duh! GRAVY!! A side of canned, though never cooked, mixed veggies (you know the carrot, corn, strange colored peas from school lunch?!) was included. Our 'bread basket' contained 10 packs of saltines and a single slice of white bread, three meals at the table had it included. The Waitress, made no attempt to hide her obvious dislike for her job or coworkers, the loud sighs and rolling of eyes between drink orders and literal tossing of silverware and menus onto the table, was topped off by a full explanation of how and why she was "getting pissed on". Seriously, not embellishing, and so disgusted. I won't even go into the obnoxious, shoeless, pajama clad, 9 year old, running around. My fork made about 6 total trips from plate to palette. I wasn't the one who ate the least from our group, the biggest eater had 80% of his food remaining. Good luck, I dare you...order the Sunday Special.

Have enjoyed the Park Ridge Cafe for many years, John and Heather and the staff always have a friendly smile to start my day. Usually have breakfast but have come back many times for a late night meal with my family. Food is always consistent, with many new menu items to keep things interesting.

Our party of 16 people had great service with just one server for Monday morning breakfast. Trisha was an excellent server, never missed a beat, and brought every item to the table without forgetting anything. Very large menu and your able to order everything, any time of day. Big parking lot also. When I'm in town visiting family, I'll make sure to stop in again.
